Comets JBC is a badminton club for ages 8-18. We meet on Sundays at Herts Sports Village AL10 9EU, except, on the few occasions that HSV is unavailable, when we are at either Stanborough school WGC, AL8 6YR, or Ridgeway Academy WGC, AL7 2AF, or Queenswood school, AL9 6NS.

At HSV we have 8 courts for coaching first hour 6-7pm, 4 courts for games 7-8pm. At Queenswood school we have 8 courts for 2 hours. When at Stanborough school and the Ridgeway Academy, as we have only 4 courts, U12s 6-7pm, 12+s 7-8pm.

We aim to provide safe, enjoyable badminton, and to coach newcomers and more experienced players to their ability level, including county level, or to become leaders, or coaches.
​
When possible we have matches against other clubs and encourage members to participate in tournaments.
​
We achieved BADMINTON England 'Premier' accreditation (the same as Sport England Clubmark) in 2005 for our quality standards and are currently re-applying.

We have BE qualified coaches: 3 level 2 coaches and 4 level 1 coaches. We encourage and assist interested members to qualify as coaches.

Our Club is normally open for half terms, but closes for Christmas, Easter, July and August.
